Alexei Bambulyak is a Senior adviser at the Norwegian research company Akvaplan-niva and a doctoral candidate at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). He has 25 years experience in managing international research and capacity building projects in the fields of environment and sustainable water use under the programmes of the European Union, Arctic Council, Barents Region, Nefco, Research Council of Norway, Norwegian Retailers Fund, as well as private industry funds. Bambulyak took part in R&D projects on sustainable water use and environmental pollution issues in the Caspian Sea and the Kura River water catchment areas. Alexei Bambulyak is a certified environmental auditor, expert of the international and regional working groups on environment, full member of the Russian Geographical Society. His primary research interests are within environmental risk assessment, marine shipping, international cooperation.
